Ad copy for a job ad

I was filling in a job application via an online portal and was told to answer the following question as part of the application.

The first thing I do is to google the question to see if this has been on the web before. Of course, to check out the model answers on Google Adwords page.

In the end, I came up with this. I decided to blog this and claim copyright over my passage!

Describe the selling points of Google AdWords you would use to persuade a hotel chain to advertise on Google

Achieve full occupancy rate for your hotel!

Repeat customers alone will not fill hotel rooms. To stay in business, your hotel needs to continually acquire new customers. Problem is it costs more to acquire new customers than keeping existing patrons.

Not any more. With Google Adwords, you will have new customers actively looking for you. Here's why

#1 Adwords brings in qualified leads.
Google is synonymous with search. If you know the popular keywords that holiday makers uses to search for accommodation, you had hit a goldmine. Let your customers look for you. With savvy marketing, every new room reservation is just a mouse click away.

#2 Adwords allow you to geo-target.
Who says you need tourists to fill hotel rooms? Market to your local community. Don't waste dollars marketing to segments that are not your target audience.

#3 Market to the entire world.
If your local catchment is small, market to the world. You will have customers all over the world looking to beat a path to your hotel door.

#4 Low CPM.
Mass media reaches the masses. It has a lot of wastage i.e. not reaching your target audience. With google adwords, you can selectively targeting the right audience at an incredible low CPM.

#5 You set the marketing budget.
You dictate how much you want to pay per new customer. Marketeers spent excessive amount on getting just one new customer. You can do so for a few cents with Google Adwords.

Seize the opportunity and incorporate Google Adwords in your marketing plan. Act now to maintain share of voice on the internet. If not, your competitor will.
